The internet today has become a 24/7 tool of immediate access to people and worldwide information. Even in the most distant, dangerous and inaccessible countries, you can always find a way to get in contact with the outside world through the web. At our base we have sought to integrate with the world through this powerful means of modern communication. If you are interested in this area, please get in touch.
Ministry Communication
Besides these new forms of Internet/Web communication, we continue to use the traditional resources such as pamphlets, posters, newsletters, etc. to promote our projects and ministries. Also through using these resources we attract new staff, intercessors and financial supporters for our projects.
Personal Communication
Within the mission field there is a need for every staff member to promote their work as extensively as possible. This is done with the intension to create a network of intercessors and supporters, and finally to influence and attract others through our work in missions. The staff member is the principle recruiter of new missionaries. Their up to date testimony can touch the hearts of those who receive their communications.
Newspaper Communication
We published our first newspaper in October 2006. Since then it has been our dream to keep this resource regularly updated. It will be through this that the church and all of our contacts, be it ministerial or personal, will be informed about what we have done as a YWAM team in Recife and around the world.
Public Relations
Gathering Resources
For many years being a missionary was seen as something romantic. But these days we know that to be in the mission field requires money. To develop big projects requires even more money. The bigger the dream, the bigger the results; and the more results, the more investment needed. This is a fact! So, it is necessary to have a plan so that the dreams, and consequently finances, are not lost on the way due to a lack of structure. Today, we look for partnerships with business, churches, professionals, etc so that the dreams that God has put in our hearts are not lost through lack of resources.
Working with the Churches
Because we are all working for God’s kingdom our goal is to feed and reignite the missionary flame of the church. Therefore one of our goals is to seek to walk in partnership with local churches. Our task as missionaries is to take teaching tools such as: evangelistic seminars, Counseling, King’s Kids, social action lectures; lectures for women, men, teens and children etc.
We have a special agenda for the local church. If there is a need for a missionary to minister in one of their events, we are available to go to their church and take part in a mission’s service, conference, seminar and any other suitable activity.
