FCD – Foundations in Community Development

Why with so many programs in needy communities today do they continue to be full of violence and poverty?

Based on a biblical worldview the Foundations in Community Development school shows that people are not victims of destiny; unable to make decisions or change their lives.  God gives each community gifts, talents and abilities which only need to be discovered and put in to practice, helping them to reach the purposes of God for their communities.

As a facilitator in the process of community development, the student will receive tools that will help them see a complete and balanced growth in the physical, social, spiritual and intellectual areas in a community, because God is concerned with the whole man. This school is registered with the University of the Nations (20 credits) and is bilingual (Portuguese & English). We offer this course in September of each year.

Some of the topics are: Development Dynamics, Biblical world view, Principles of Biblical counseling, Church Planting, Basic sanitation and stewardship of the environment, the local church and its development and economical development, small businesses and more...
