With an estimated 7 million street children in Brazil and millions more around the world this school aims to inform and train people to reach these children at risk and bring an understanding of the love of God to them. We know that if we want to change the future of a community, we need to reach the little ones that are dying in misery and poverty.
There are 12 weeks of classroom training with experienced teachers that work in these areas, followed by an 8 week practical experience in the area of focus.
Some of the topics are: The character and Nature of God, Sexual Abuse, Restoration ministry, Community Development, Spiritual warfare, Discipline, Stages of Development of children and youth, Evangelism...
If you would like to learn more about 'Children at Risk' & serve God in this area, this upcoming DTS is a good opportunity to jump in the river and get wet. Many of us see the need and feel it in our hearts but don't know how to get involved. This is a good beginning. Pray about getting involved in this specialized DTS that starts on April 23rd, 2012!

Soccer Club took the community boys to our municipal championships. After only two and a half years, the project won second place in the soccer completion of Camaragibe. The boys participated in a competition for the first time against the best teams of the region.
During the whole championship, they didn’t lose one match and just needed to win the last game to be the champions but the other team just needed a tie and that’s why they didn't win first place. For us, this is more than a simple competition. It is impressing on the character of these boys the idea that they can be winners. |
